I put a lot of symbols of war and peace in this forest scene. It illustrates that war just causes pain and death. Death of the supposably courageous ones, and the ones who never wanted to be martyrs. War crosses class boundaries, racial distinctions, and religious boundaries. In today's day and age, war kills many more civilians than ever before. Bombs don't care who you are, where you came from. And this is why peace is so important. Years ago, it was just tribes fighting tribes. Two groups of chest-banging men would go off and fight in the woods, and nobody else was really affected. But now, everyone is drawn in. Peace is the only option, because it is the only way out of the vicious circle. Embrace it, love it, cherish it, because if we don't, it shall surely be the death of us.
