Talk about Pyrric victories...

So I won this concerto competition.  Yay!  I have no idea how it happened since so many people who entered I would consider better than me!  But whatever.  I was ecstatic until I realized that I now have 2 months to learn, memorize, and perform the other 2 movements of the concerto (Lars-Erik Larsson's Concertino for Viola and String Orchestra;  look it up, it's pretty cool).  On top of the fact that I have to re-memorize my old concerto (Cecil Forsyth's Concerto for Viola and Orchestra, 1st movement only, thank God;  but this one's even cooler) for a recital and an audition.  And I'm working on a piece (Bach's 3rd Cello Suite - Prelude;  pre

I was sick and tired of seeing that same darned journal entry from August.  Not that I have anything better to post here, but I try.  So, for my regularly scheduled whining ^_^:  I have been so swapmed with work since school started that some days I honestly don't know reality from fiction.  It gets that bad.  And then I check my dA messages every once and a while and I'll be like omg, cannot respond to messages, or I'll have a brain overload.  So, I'm trying to gradually get caught up, but it's going to take a while for me to get through all of the piled up deviations from people I watch that I have stupidly been neglecting for months.
